IS THE DOW RISING?
"Is The Dow Rising?" is a comic strip I came up with after the US elections in 2004, with sketches for a team of superheroes made up of members of the Bush Administration. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, for instance, bore an uncanny resemblance to Frankenstein's Monster. And Dick Cheney, as the man in charge, was initially depicted as a Professor X-type character (which is why he was now in a wheelchair). Once I got a computer and found I could draw with a mouse, I began to create this comic strip in Microsoft Paint, with Dick Cheney as a near-omnipresent being. I hope you enjoy my experiment in political cartooning.
